In a thought-provoking session during CSO Week 2023, LSF  took center stage by organizing a panel discussion on the crucial theme, “Exploring the Nexus: Tech, Democracy & Decolonization. How these forces intersect and shape our world.”

With a remarkable turnout of over 100 participants, the engaging dialogue focused on the imperative to decolonize minds, fostering a profound understanding of identity, strengthening systems, enhancing legal frameworks, and emphasizing self-funding sustainability.

Lulu Ng’wanakilala, the Executive Director of LSF, articulated the significance of integrating artificial intelligence into CSO activities, stating, “The efficiency that occurs when CSOs engage and incorporate artificial intelligence is noted. If we are to compete, share, and occupy spaces that the West is in, we must engage with them to the same standard as they have in regards to technology.”

The session resonated with attendees as they delved into the intersection of technology, democracy, and decolonization, acknowledging the need for a comprehensive approach to navigate the complexities of our evolving world.
